The End of a Decade

And the start of the new “Roaring 20’s” is here! I’m excited to welcome this new year and see what it brings us. I’m very optimistic about my own health, and mental health this year. I feel that I’m in a much better place now, than I have been in a long time, and I’m excited to see what that means for my life.

I find myself ready to start projects both at home and at work, with renewed vigor and anxious to dig into some big tasks that I have on my plate. This last decade brought so much change and growth for my family. It wasn’t always easy to cope with, and some of it is still painful. But that change has spurred growth and improvement in our lives, and I’m all in for that!

Looking back at the last ten years, I left a few jobs, got laid off once, we lost both kitties to old age, we almost lost my husband to cardiac arrest, and then we lost my mom to Alzheimers disease, we gained a beautiful daughter-in-law and extended family as a result, we added our baby pup, Mia, and finally, made our big move to our dream home!

Phew! That’s a lot to cram into one decade. And no, not all of it was fun. But all of it was necessary. And all of it made me who I am today, and makes me so grateful for the life we have.

So bring it on, 2020! I welcome the roaring 20’s and am so excited to see what you have in store!
